For those new around here, 2500pts is normally where I begin on a list. It gives you lots of options, and once you discover all the little nuances of how units can work together it's easier to trim down. Notice though that I still prefer 2000+ in 5th edition. Otherwise they just seem like small skirmishes.

This list is meant to go first. Note that if you can't manipulate or have any control of going first, saying my list is meant to go first or relies upon it, is stupid. The one thing this list does not start off with is pain tokens. I don't like that, but hey, this is a good start. It does include two Ginsu wielding shadow field protected Archons backed up by a unit of Incubi and quite a bit of fast moving firepower.

Vect can start out either with a trueborn unit or wyches if there are exposed infantry. The other Archon is meant to go with the Incubi, but to be able to split off on his own in the heat of the battle. Note you can also protect him from hurting himself with a good sized incubi unit if he cant reach an enemy model base. This will allow you to choose when to engage him fully and give his grenades to the Incubi.

The Wyches are meant to strike armoured walls to disable mechanized lines with haywire round 1 or to hit soft exposed units (out of armor). They have a great range up to 29". Anything they cant reach, the trueborn can wreck with concentrated blaster fire, who will hopefully be deploying into cover positions, or at least behind other forward moving units. Then you have great firepower coming from the rear, in forms of poisoned weapons from the warriors and venoms, and lance fire with Ravagers.

You also have some flexibility with raiders with shock prows, flying over some units to shock others hanging too far in the backfield. Warriors on the venoms are carrying 2 blaster type weapons for some flexibility.

Asbrubael Vect 240pts  (Gives almost a 75% chance going first)

Archon 170pts with Djin Blade, Blaster, close combat weapon, soul trap, shadowfield, combat drugs, phantasm Grenade launcher.

Elite
2x Trueborn (8) 236pts with 4x Blasters, and a Dracon for Leadership.
Raider with a Shock Prow and Flickerfield (Dark Lance)

Incubi (7) 284pts Klaivex with Demiklaives (since they will end up splitting up with the archon)
Raider with a Shock Prow and Flickerfield (Dark Lance)

Wyches (10) 235pts with 10 Haywire Grenades, 2 with Shardnets, Hekatrix with a Phantasm Grenade Launcher
Raider with a Shock Prow and Flickerfield (Dark Lance)

2x Warriors (20) 240pts with 2 Splinter Cannons, Blaster, Sybarite with a Blast Pistol

2x Warriors (5) 150pts with Blaster, Sybarite with Blast Pistol
Venom with Flickerfield and 2 Splinter Cannons

3x Ravager with 3 Dark Lances

Total 2496pts
